	Hi I was just wondering if there is different types of haircuts for shih tzus and what they are called, Kara has just had her first proper haircut but I quite fancy something nicer than what she got, just dont know what to ask for!

	I am a 1 year old Shih Tuz and my mom is a groomer and she gives us Teddy Bear cut, It is not short but it not long either, But it depends how much hair you want off the dog, My mom cut me and Marbin short for the summer because we have a pool we get into and sometimes our mom does not have the time to comb us out, But like I said it just depends on how much you want off

	those were some weird dos for a Shih Tzu Daisy. The faces were way long. BOL. And one looked like a poodle topknot. Ouch. Not a good do. The most common od Shih Tzu cuts is what people call "the puppy cut. All that is is one length all over with a Teddy Bear Head. That length can be whatever you want. The #3 looks good and leaves about 1/2" long. Theres also the daisy clips, exact same as a cocker cut with a Teddy Bear Head. And the lamb cut. Full legs short body.

	My pups just came back from the groomers and I had her to do a number 5 blade so that the legs dont look like chicken legs but yet short enough for summer and left the head alone other than just a tidy. I dont like to cut the hair between the eyes, and I love my tops knots so, just a trim on the head to make everything look nice.

	A groomer friend of mine has her male in a modified westie body with a shnauzer type head. Very cute. I like the look of a longer body 5/8 to 1" pillar type legs, and cute tight round head with shaved ears. Kind of looks like an Ewok.
