Anyone import a dane from Europe?

I've been looking for a blue dane pup for quite a while and I've found a couple kennels in Europe that I might consider going through. Before I make my decision to import or stay local in America I thought I'd ask around and see what other people have been through when importing. Is it a lot of hassle? Anybody have anything go wrong? Would you do it again?

First question would be why is it you're looking to import?

I'm looking for a show pup and I am very picky about what I am looking for. I'm not looking for any blue pup, but just the right one. I've never imported a dog, and now that I'm considering it, I'm looking for some information from people who have imported.

Still not quite the answer I was looking for. Aside from being picky (which many are especially if they are looking for a show, that is kind of a vague answer). What specifically has made you decide to import? What has made you decide that you can't find what you're looking for in the States?

I haven't decided to import yet. That's part of the reason I am asking this question. Besides, what does it matter why I want to import? If I want to import a dog, I want to import a dog. I am not asking permission to do this. I am NOT ask IF I SHOULD, I am aking if anyone else has and how it went for them. Please read the question before answering. Thank you.

I did read the question but thank you for a kind and sweet reminder. Since you don't want the help I'll leave you on your way.

Sorry, just one other thing. I know you don't want the help but there are others who read these and want to make sure it's out there for them.

The reasons to import play a very big role in how to go about beginning this process, and I'm sorry that you can't see that. I'll leave you now on your way.

If anyone is looking for a few answers to this question, check in the travel forum. They are much more informative and willing to just say what they know without pullin teeth over there.

I have not However I have run in to a breeder for blue dane show dog's in south carolina. I am sure you can find them. They import dane's also! Although it ensure's that the blood line can not be inbreed around the area you live in, You also do not know how healthy the dog is or how it was treated before you get it..
