Tangled/matted hair! plz help :(

	Hello everyone, I have a Golden Retriever,male, he is 4 years old now. recently he had these bad rashes, so he hurt himself by biting and chewing the area. but I used to give him a medicine to control to itchiness, it was recommended by the Vet, now thankfully his wounds have healed, I even applied a spray for his fleas. The main issue is, I used to even apply Savlon to his wound. So near this chest portion, a part of his hair has really got tangled very very badly. It has become a knot! i have no idea how to De-tangle it. PLZ HELP!
