Kona needs the "Power of The Paw!"

This is a special place for pups to share their love and support for each other during difficult times; it's a place to light candles, give the "Power of the Paw," and let everyfur know they are never ever alone.

Kona kintay,- Kona baby

Kona, who recently was in the Doggy Intensive Care before they finally diagnosed her Addisons Disease was doing OK until we noticed her elbow were getting quite raw looking. Within a few days she had licked them so much she opened the skin up and made an ulcer on her right elbow. The other one just looked skinned. Back to the Vet who diagnosed her elbows as being licked too much with her sand paper like tounge. He said it itches her so she licks them, and now has caused an ulcer in her other elbow. She is on antibiotics, 2 times daily, and an ointment with a long, narrow tip to put inside the ulcer and fill it 3 times daily. Kona has been through so much in the last few months! Poor baby, she even offers up her front leg so we can put in the ointment! But the licking hasn't stopped altogether. Very afraid it will get more infected. You can tell in her eyes that it really bothers her, whether she is miserable or maybe so itchy she can't help but to lick at the elbows. Kona could use the "Power Of The Paw!" cry
