Has anyone who feeds kibble experienced any health problems associated with it? I mean things like bloody stool, proliferated intestines, malnutrition, chronic diarrhea or vomiting, bacteria infections, other things along these lines.

Things that I don't mean include: allergies (any form of the allergenic food would cause a reaction so it's not directed related to kibble because you can just change formulas), age problems, genetic diseases, and other things not directly related to diet.

I'm looking at both sides of the coin and comparing diets.

Farley, I'm not sure why you posted that. I did ask for replies from people who feed kibble so doesn't this topic not pertain to you? I thought you feed raw.

Indeed Lilith. Not Canada's finest but a good effort. laugh out loud

Which diets are you comparing? BARF? Prey-model? Beneful? Science Diet? Rocks? Exotic cheeses?

It's pretty apparent where this thread is going so no one wants to get involved, hence the 'weekend' comments.

Charlie cannot eat a diet of commercial, processed food. My vet also could not diagnose him.

Since I adopted him at 11 weeks until I drastically changed his diet at 7 months, the dog was very thin, lacked any fat or muscle on his body, and was having HUGE, loose, squishy stools 4-5 per day. Our vet ran bloodwork and found no answers, other than to try and have me find a different food. Charlie started on Nutro's natural line, then went to something by Del Monte (Nature's Something), then went to Innova, and Evo. Not one food put weight on him. His body was obviously not taking in nutrients correctly.

I feed a raw diet now, which I'm sure is not what you're looking for. But in all honesty, what is the point of asking this question ONLY to people that feed kibble? That's like asking "Hey vegetarians, have any of you experienced problems from eating a vegetarian diet?". I can't see how the answer will ever be unbiased.

Yes.

Until we found Blue Buffalo, Cobain could not handle any other kibbles.
He was frequently inflicted by large, sloppy, bloody stools.
This caused him to become malnourished as he did not digest any of it.

Blue Buffalo and raw were the only things that he can digest - and the BB is only with the addition of lactobacillus.

I've also known a dog that met his demise by choking down the kibble.

I do hope you're not trying to stir up trouble, but alas...

What precisely are you comparing? Kibble to kibble? Grain-free to grain inclusive? Kibble to a raw diet? Which raw diet?

A little more information would be helpful shrug
