Need help with food rotation

Sofie is a 5-month-old beagle. I have read tons about what dog foods are best and food rotation. We started her out on Innova Puppy and after a couple of months tried to rotate to a different protein (lamb) with Solid Gold Puppy. She didn't tolerate that at all (even though we switched gradually) and had horrible gas and loose stools. So, we went back to Innova and have been on that since. She does very well on the Innova -- shiny coat and 2 firm stools/day. My question is -- should we try to rotate to a different protein again and if so, what food would you recommend? Thanks!!

How long did you give the new food a try, and how gradual did you switch?

We transitioned to the Solid Gold for about 10 days and then tried it straight for about a week. I added pumpkin once we were giving the Solid Gold straight. After a week of runny poops and horrible gas we transitioned back to the Innova. That was back in March.

I'm leaning toward trying something grain-free. I can get Evo or TOTW where I live. Thoughts on which I should try and how long I should transition from the Innova to the new food?

I am luckily able to switch my pups cold turkey with no problem but I think that most people transition over a period of 2-3 weeks. Gradually add more and more of the new food.
I have fed Evo (Red Meat) for a couple of months and it started to give my pups awful smelling gas after a while. Maybe it was just them...
TOTW is one of the ones that I use in our rotation and is the last one that I fed. They all did very well with that one.

It can take up t 4 weeks before some dogs systems fully adjust. I would give it more then a week.
