I hear alot of people on here talking about how great green tripe is and how thier dogs love it. Where do you get green tripe? Do you feed it with a meal or is it a treat? I looked at my local small pet store and didnt see any. Is it always in cans?

I buy the raw version that Bravo makes. Its loaded with all kinds of nutrients and the dogs just love it. But it does stink.

You can also get in it canned form.

We get the tripett green tripe. They have some varieties with added salmon. It's about $1.99 a can here and it's sold at smaller pet stores, petsmart doesnt carry it.

Good luck finding it! We love it frozen in a kong

we also eat the canned tripe, we get solid gold and trippet kinds... we love both equaly!!!
I'm sure you are going to love as well...Mommy says it is a little stinky when you first open the can, thats the whole point,we love the smell....snoopyhappy dance

We feed raw tripe. We are able to get BRAVO's raw tripe via our raw feeding co-op. Any BRAVO supplier should be able to get you some, or you can check online suppliers like greentripe.com, prey4pets, haretoday, etc.

If we couldn't find raw tripe, we would provide canned, but we definitely prefer raw.

They carry Solid Gold green tripe in cans at most Petcos. Cali loves it! I usually just add a little to her dry food.

Odin loves solid golds green tripe. Its the only food where I can put it down and leave the room and he will continue to eat. (he doesn't like to eat unless someone is in the same room)

I have to say it is the most disgusting smelling food. If its warm or room temp I can barely stand it. The first time I wasn't prepared and I started to gage. Almost threw up....its gross. If its refrigerated it's tolerable.I refuse to let him lick or kiss me for the rest of the day after that.

Btw the place I get it says it was originally developed to stop dogs from eating their own poo. I guess it tastes good going in but not out.

big laugh It doesn't smell THAT bad. Maybe I've smelled some really terrible things in my day so the tripe doesn't seem that bad.laugh out loud In any case, kudos to Odin's mom for continuing to feed him a food that makes her gag. Yay stinky food!hamster dance
