You guys SERIOUSLY have too much time on your hands. BOL

All I know is that great ingredients and good prices aside, Buddy is so finicky that it does me no good to buy this dog food or that one. He won't eat it. Will let it set for DAYS and not touch it... so, I buy him what he will eat. I don't feel guilty because he's healthy and he's eating it. Besides, the average American's diet is filled with "chemicals" ... I can't have him eating healthier than I do... I mean... what if he lives to be a ripe ole age and I kick the bucket from all the processed foods I funnel? Who would take care of him?

(Its a joke folks, lighten up). Good post....and very good information. Just amusing is all. : ) Woofs and wags. -Buddy.

Thanks for all the great information!
Im switching Jade from Solid Golid Hundchen Flocken puppy to Canidae All Life Stages, it's going to save me lots of money and I've heard great things! Plus, Jade's poop is huge and smells terrible, & farts all the time on Solid Gold!
Im hoping Jade will get to be 60lbs...
Canidae: 1875-> $222.75/year
Solid Gold: 1578->$328.50/year
Also, right now she is 40lbs at 5 mos and I feed her 5 cups/day in 3 servings. Should I be feeding her more/less? It seems like a lot, but she always seems hungry. Im just following the directions on the Solid Gold bag and my vet says shes healthy. Just thought Id see what you guys think. I want her to grow to her max while being as healthy as possible. Thanks dancing

This is a great discussion. I just joined the site yesterday. We have a 7 month old lab who weighs 50 pounds now. Do you guys have suggestions on good puppy food for a large breed puppy?? Her poops are terrible and never solid...never mind the gas! The vet said she's as healthy as can be but I would like to change her food...being a first time dog owner I'm not sure what to change to. Any tips would be great! Thanks!

OK, Orijen isn't sold here in SC, but I checked online stores and it would cost us $77/bag with shipping. With 1 medium and 2 large dogs, I would be broke in no time! Is there any other food that has similar nutritional value that may be more accessible (and thus more affordable)? We really like the nutritional value of the Orijen, but the price is just too high.

Where did you look online? Check K9 cuisine, heartypet, or pet food direct.

Here in Edmonton Go! Natural is $24.95 for the 8 kg bag, and $67.95 for the larger bag, however if you buy 10 bags you get 1 free. dancing It's even less expensive (by a few $$)@ G & E Pharmacy.

Oooo! Thanks for those pet food sites! petfooddirect.com has it for $60/bag with shipping! That's almost $20 cheaper! Now-being the lazy, overweight pup that I am I wondered if someone would be so kind as to figure out how much I would feed each dog! Mom has a bad cold and can't seem to get her brain to work right today. I am 80lbs., Bailey is 70lbs., and Max is 45-50lbs.
Plus - you pups seem to enjoy this math thing way too much!laugh out loud
