So, Cade at 49lbs needs around 738 calories a day. So, how many cups or ounces of Innova EVO large bites does she need a day?

2 cups = 1 lb

8oz =1 cup

So, do I give her about four fifths of a cup a day?

Innova EVO = 1835/2 = 917.5 cal / cup.
738 calories / (917.5 calories / cup)) = 0.804 cups.
About four-fifths of a cup.

Sedona, you have entirely too much time on your paws!!!!

But it's a fabulous list. You should post the calories/lb of Kirkland as well, I think a lot of Dogsters use that. I used to, and switched to Canidae...for two 70lb dogs it wound up being like 20 cents more a day.

Sedona, thanks for this formula.. My moms are always worrying that I'm not eating enough. I'm a grazer. But if your formula is correct, I'm actually getting plenty to eat!

Thank you everyone!! Sorry it took so long for a reply. 1229 ish...sounds about right for what he's been getting. I have to make sure I save that math formula so that I can rely on it. In Ocean City MD it's 54.25 for a 26.9 lb bag (the big bag) of Orijen adult. Cat and Canine Comforts also has a deal going where after you buy 8 bags you get one free (I am pretty sure it's 8 it might be ten).

An 8oz cup is a measurement of volume not weight.
