We feed Timberwolf Organics and recently have begun using Eagle Pack Holistic for the dogs & cats for their dry food. So far everyone is doing very well on the Eagle Pack.
I also use Steve's Real Food, raw meat and canned Merrick's, Wellness, Eagle P, or T.O. for a mixer to the dry.wave

We all were on PurinaOne, bad choice!!! The dogs all developed issues, itchy skin, red bumps on the tummies. And worst, Dude and Lady got thier first ear infections, they are 2 and 3 and never had them before. Eye discharge was also a problem. Vet suspects allergies and we switched to Natural Balance. All the dogs are fine now in a matter of 2 weeks time. Food does matter and allergies can develop over time as the ingredients that the dog is sensitive to build up in thier systems. We started on the Fish and sweet potato formula and the second bag we bought is the lamb and rice that we are mixing in. They like the lamb flavor much better. I wish I had researched more before staying with PurinaOne, my dogs all suffered for my poor choice and it is a hard lesson to have learned.

Used to be on Iams, sister developed bad skin, switched to Chicken Soup for Pet lovers..................no more problems!
Shiny coat, smaller poop, healthy skin.
Mom says if either of us develope another issue she would have no problems looking for something else.

You need to READ THE LABELS. The grocery store brands includig yours are not the best cost-wise as you are feeding a lot of fillers and animal by-products (heads, feet, intestines, etc.) so in reality you are spending more and I'm sure you dog is pooping much more than with the premium foods. So in reality you will actually be saving money and feeding a much better quality food.
I have 3 Pekingese and they eat NUTRO ULTRA Holistic Food as it has the highet concentration of oils/sunflower and lowest stool production compared to similar quality foods such as Innova, Eagle Pack, etc. and you can buy them in any PetsMart/Petco and they have no by-product.
So again read the labels and compare.
