both my boys are on Orijen - I did my research and it is the best re kibble - I am thinking about switching to Barf raw diet though, but they love Orijen and I have had no problems with it at all!

My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE Orijen, but we can't get it in our state, or the two states nearest to us, and the online shipping, whew, makes it a little pricey! WHen we move near a place with it (which we will sometimes in the next year or two) we will be all over Orijen. I have never seen Coco eat kibble like that! She went to TOWN!

I did a lot of comparing on prices online if that helps anyone. k9cuisine.com does offer free shipping, but you will notice they jack up their prices a little, so you are really paying for shipping without realizing it. However, www.heartypet.com is the cheapest I found. They offer a coupon at every visit (at the checkout page) and often have other coupons (there was one for Orijen, it may still work, type in ORIJEN at the checkout) and when you used the coupons on their site it came out a few bucks cheaper than k9cuisine.com. (I did the comparison with a 10% off coupon for k9cuisine, so without the coupon, heartypet would have been even cheaper).

The only other thing is that K9cuisine offer free samples that you can add to your order of other dog/cat foods. You can even order a sample of Orijen for 1.99 and it is I belive a 14ounce bag (it was pretty big for a sample bag).

The ingredients are great too! Cant wait to live near some!

The price really depends on where you live. If you live close hearty pet may be a better deal. The further you are away the more the shipping cost.

I really like the fact I know what K9 Cuisine is charging right up front. For me there is nothing more annoying than to fill out a form and find out what shipping will be. HP has an estimator but it is not always accurate. With K9 Cuisine there is never any doubt. I guess it is just me but I prefer straight forward. In addition K9 offers an additional 5% when you order more bags. There service is really good. You can actually call and talk to a real person.

I have noticed that Orijens is available in our area, now. A really sweet Dogster gave me the heads up about a store on the way to my mom's. Some of you Orijen fans, may be able to get your favorite kibble at a nearby store. Check out their site! Good luck!!

We just switched from Canidae to Orijen, and definately see a difference. We feed it only in the morning, and I do add a Tablespoon of yogurt, but both dogs adjusted easily. Our evening meal is 100 % raw. I have noticed Barkley's coat looks better, and I sure noticed a difference in the poop. Looking at it you would think my boys were under 50 pounds, not over 100 pounds each......definately small poops. Both dogs love it and seem really attracted to the fish formula. We are now into our 3rd bag and lovin' it!dancing

Kuma seems to like it, but not love it. He rolled on it in the beginning, but right now, he is eating it. Because it's such an excellent quality food, Kuma will get it in his rotation from time to time. He doesn't eat it in the morning, but he will devour it at night. shrug I wonder if it's just that he is not too enthusiastic about the fish formula. Once I get to the original Orijen, I'll find out. thinking

Mommy is really hoping I will enjoy that one..wink

Orijen dog food is an EXCELLENT dog food. I've done research on dog food for over 12 years and nothing comes close. My Yorkie has had two operations for calcium oxilate bladder stones and according the the journal of veterinary medicine these stones cannot be cured by diet. Well I did not agree. He is too small to be put under the knife every year for stones and all of the vitamines and nutrients that are put into dog food are man made chemically. So I found Orijen, and the rest is history, it's been two years and NO STONES. I LOVE ORIJEN AND SO SHOULD YOU.snoopy
