Greatest American Dog Premieres Thursday, July 10, 8pm et/pt on CBS!

Not to put a damper, but I am having a heart attack over the fact that one of the dogs is a Giant Schnauzer! A very showy and impressive breed, but NOT for inexperienced dog owners in the slightest, and just too much of a disaster as an impulse buy to even think about. With all these "insta dog" puppy buying sites and unscrupulous breeders, it really makes me anxious and heartsick. I wish, I wish, I WISH the network had gone a nobler route of the greater good and made all contestants rescue dogs. It would have spread such a message and at least stood to have done something positive. Disappointed for that, worried for the Giant. Not happy. Not happy at all.
