|I will say first that I feel so incredibly bad for the poor child, his parents and grandparents. Its a terrible tragedy and my comments that follow will not belittle the fact that a poor little boy died.
With that being said, this article made me very angry. The title clearly says "American Bulldog" and yet the next word is "Pit Bull". Not to mention a 150lb one! WHAT? Even more surprising is the picture of what I presume to be a "Pit Bull" and labeled as a Bulldog. It is not practice (as far as I know) to crop a bulldog's ears like the one pictured. My anger comes from the ignorance of these types of situations. They say Bulldog, then pit bull, then bulldog.... and all the comments are pit bull related. WHERE IS THE COMMON SENSE??!! I cannot tolerate the ignorance of some people. ESPECIALLY someone who is writing an article for others to read. EDUCATE YOURSELF! *angry emoticon here*
In my opinion, the writer of this article is breed biased. What other reason would someone have to take the word Bulldog and change it to Pit bull. Yet another attack blamed on the breed for no other reason than pure ignorance. But all breeds aside, the poor little boy should have never been allowed on the floor with a dog of that size. ANY dog. Especially one that has no previous experience with children. So sad.
