	The Author was a total jerk! But just recently i have heard alot more about dogs being used as weapons. We all know it goes on but when it's brought to the attention of the public it's something that alarms you. More and more young ( mainly boys ) are going out and buying dogs as status symbols and many are training them to be attack dogs. I don't like to make assumptions but there is a few lads i'm suspicious of around my area. One of them owns a GSD and i have seen them on a number of occasion heading up to the fields behind me with sticks and what seems to be a sleeve that the police use on their dogs! I have also seen them hold their dog back from a passing dog but at the same time laughing and kind of goading the dog to act aggressively Here is an interesting and very sad documentary on the young boys who buy these dogs as their weapons. It's in pats but you just have to click through them. I assume you can see the video in question only sometimes videos are not available in different countries. This just goes to show WHY these poor breeds have such a bad reputation. It made me very angry to watch it and sad too. My dog is a weapon

	I agree with Lilith. If we ban idiots from owning dogs of any breed there won't be any that have to be outlawed. Then all the pups and people can be happy.

	Weapons??? They talk about the dogs as if they were fire arms and people used them illegally to shoot at people and rob banks!?!?!? This bothers me deeply

	I watched it, Missy, and it is just too sad. I'm not sure though, how the dogs in the video were being used as weapons, although they were certainly being used as "force fields", if you will, and as there were cameras about, the owners were hardly going to participate in criminal activity. We have similar issues here as well... I was intrigued by the comments on the article - very different than those I've read following articles (the MSNBC article, for instance) about "pit bulls" here in the U.S. edited to LMAO @ Lilith Edited by author Tue Nov 3, '09 5:08pm PST

	Oh man I m so glad I don't live in the UK. Every time I turn around I see more and more evidence that the govenment there is trying to micromanage their populace. Seriously. Let go already. ether that or declare people unfit to manage themselves and set up an official dictatorship where everyone is treated like they're insane.
