OMG! How can people say that?! I mean, Pittie banning is terrible and ignorant enough even though they were bred to be dog fighters (and turned out to be big teddy bears)! Banning Labs, Pugs, English Springer Spaniels, Newfoundlands, Golden Retrievers, Australian Sheperd and Australian Cattle Dogs (along with all the others!)?! What reason is that for?! Labs and Goldens are 2 of the worlds most loved dog breeds! Can't believe this! shock

Thank you for clarifying the Fairfield issue, Pippin. I must have misunderstood the wording (which as we all know is very easy to do) in the ordinance - either that or my brain was melting from too many hours looking at ordinances!laugh out loud

I looked up Michigan and there are several counties with BSL! That's scary stuff.

I've always thought about getting a Pit Bull. It's not realistic now as I'm renting and finding apartments that allow them [moving to Charlotte, NC] is pretty much impossible. So, perhaps when I own a house someday. Anyway.

It's lame that Michigan has that many places. It's all down state and I live in the Northernmost part where nothing ever happens and BSL has never even been discussed, but still. It's disconcerting.

Do you think they will mistake this old chocolate boy as a chihuahua? I am sure I can find Belgian some puppy ears somewhere. He will just be a diformed chihuahua. He grew up bigger then anyone would of thought

A GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!!?? Are these people serious? Are they seriosuly sitting up there thinking of dogs to ban and not thinking of ways to nab bad dog owners? A golden, oh my dog. At the hospital where my mom works there is a wall of therapy dogs that have served. The whole wall is basically goldens with a few aussies and a pittie. (Who I've met and she was the sweetest thing!)

This makes me sick! eek

I grew up with a bull terrier, dobermans, rotties, goldens and labs. None of the breeds should be up there but my jaw dropped when I saw labs and goldens for the first time. What are people going to do that are blind and need theses dogs? I mean they don't train pitties and are mostly training Labs, golden retrievers, German shepherds, and recently Standard Poodles. What are those people going to have to do?
