You said MOST of the dogs don't belong on there. If most don't belong, which ones do belong? No breed belongs on a list to be singled out. Dogs should be singled out based upon their individual behavior not that of other dogs that may look similar or have a similar genetic makeup

Just thought I would put my two cents worth in here....
From the research I've done on BSL in the USA - MANY of the breeds on that list are there due to cities like Fairfield, IA and others that have, in addition to or instead of BREED specific laws, have WEIGHT specific laws. There are cities that have banned any dog over 100lbs (Fairfield) and I remember seeing one that has a restriction for any dog over 50lbs. I would have to go through my 3000 row spreadsheet to find which city it is though.

IMO - NO DOG DESERVES TO BE BANNED DUE TO BREED OR WEIGHT!!!

Fairfield Iowa does indeed have BSL aimed at "any dog over 100 lbs" but it is not a complete ban.

I don't agree with any form of BSL but some of the breeds on the list I could at least understand the reason for, even if that reason is just ignorance and prejudice. But seriously? Pugs? Boston Terriers? Wtf?
