Daisy I completely support your post...I am unclear why you are at me...bol....
I did in fact state that a link would have been good for me to get my hands on but only because I was trying to defend the list which was called a fake to me by several individuals, further of course you have a life and I only said what I did about you not answering my p mail because someone above my post suggested the list might not be real so I went ahead and added that maybe you jsut weren't online and available t o answer my mail...

We aren't on opposite teams here so please, have some gourmet dog treats on me...and continue putting out good info like this for others.......frownshrug

Justa... I have no problem with supplying links etc. to ANYTHING I post. I have a problem with this comment from you

" Maybe the op hasn't been online since I requested it even in a paw mail........or maybe the op just didn't know the source.......always,always know your source people and either post it initially or be ready to present it at any time...

There will always be someone come at ya from the other side on a topic such as this and you have to be able to prove it to further a cause, such as opposing bsl....."

Indicating I don't know my source or because I didn't answer your bully request I don't know anything. I have a problem with posts like this.

Nadiya.... what I said wasn't in reply to you. Just stating it was a long time ago that this thread was started and when the list came out. Nothing to do with your post.

Trigger... your post was condesending

" My problem with that site is they give NO source for their own information. They list a bunch of states stating that there is BSL but anyone could fabricate a site like that with no accurate information.

It's nothing against you personally Daisy but I tend to be the skeptic, and this site doesn't pass my sniff test. I would love to see which state/city/providence or where ever has BSL against many of the breeds listed. And why. That site doesn't disclose that information leading me to believe it's simply propaganda to get people's attention.

If the OP or anyone else has any additional information on this I'd love to see it!!!"

If you had read the first post you would SEE where it came from

"So - without further ado, courtesy of the RDOWS, here is the list of 75 - count 'em - SEVENTY FIVE - banned or restricted breeds ..................... "

Notice the " courtesy of the RDOWS".... all you have to do is Google RDOWS. This is NOT just someone making up lists. They have different parts to their site ( not the way I would do it ) and any info you are looking for.... email them. I have my own battles with BSL here in Canada. Anyone who is willing to fight against BSL in the states will probably know RDOWS or heard about them.

So sorry you both think I am rude or whatever but all you have to do is ask without those other comments. Most people here will tell you I will help with any links or whatever. And yes I do have a life but that is on hold right now because of about 100 cats and dogs that we are helping right now. Read my diary and you will maybe understand why I can't just drop everything to answer a " or if she knows" comment when if you looked you would have seen yourself where it came from.

You are absolutely right and thanks again! As I said before I'm still completely new to all this BSL stuff, with your approach I think many more people would be open to learning more about it!

Wonderful! Just when I thought my state was "safe".

"Reading - A city ordinance requires restrictions against a breed in the year after more than 30 dog bites occur and a particular breed is responsible for more than 40% of them. The restrictions include keeping dogs of that breed muzzled and on chain leashes while outdoors. Nonsterilized dogs would require a $500 permit. City to push up the start date of a dangerous dog ordinance. To be considered dangerous- the breed has to be responsible for 40 percent or more of the bites within a year. So far- pit bulls account for more than 60 percent of the dog bites in Reading."

Maybe they need to get the crackheads and drug dealers that live in this city their own island to live on! This city is notorious lately for being a drug-infested area. The Pittie is the dog of choice around here (and other areas, I'm sure) for those jack@&#^! How sad that the whole breed has to suffer because of horrible owners! And what is up with that "muzzled and CHAINED when outside"?!?!? *sigh* We live about an hour or so from there but...sad.

I own 2 Dobermans. I am required to maintain a $300,000.00 insurance rider in order to have homeowners insurance coverage. This is 100% because of BSL/poor handlers. Yes, my babies can be aggressive as seen in my videos. But as a responsible owner, I have put a fence in place, padlocks at the entrances, a door bell outside the fence, notified all the public utilities, notified the USPS, registered the property as a NO TRESSPASSING PROPERTY with the local authorities, and posted the property with signs. I have even now purchased an electronic fence to keep my babies 2 feet from the fence line.

What else can one do? Someone should require aptitude testing and financial analysis before the purchase and or the sale of any canine. If you cannot afford the precautions, you cannot afford the dog. This would elliminate BYB'S, flooded shelters, and alot of the bites that take place yearly.

Before long we won't be able to have any dogs at all. That is crazy. Most of those dogs don't belong on their. If not all. My gosh what is the usa coming too? (I know its not in every state but it won't be long if we aren't careful)
