I've given up on Dougherty, but hopefully she'll at least admit your logic.

One of her mottoes is, ""I pray every day that I won't hurt anyone. Who doesn't deserve it." I think that statement speaks reams about this womans so-called "character."

I guess to her I'm one of the people who deserve it. She chaps my behind.

All I have to do is say the name 'Kerry Doughtery' and my hubby's head begins to explode! That is the effect she has on most people I think.

I believe I have only agreed with her on one topic and that had nothing to do with dogs.

I am curious to see if any of you who have written to her get a reply.

Kitai, you're pawsome, thank you for writing! That was a great letter!! We (me, Charley's mom, Raskol) know she gets letters like that all the time and obviously doesn't care, like Raskol said, but we like to think everything makes a difference!

Ziero, was your dad the pittie club pres?! We loved your reply, it was great! My mom says you sure are one handsome doggie, she likes brindle doggies (after salt and pepper of course BOL!!)

Charley, my mom has the same reaction as your dad, esp. this morning when she saw the topic. Mom asked me to post something to my dog pals so that maybe one blog reply might change someone's opinion.

wow. this really irks the snot out of me. Seriously. I mean more than i can say in words. my apbt is the sweetest dog ever.... she loves everyone she meets!! I have never seen a more people friendly dog... and i am a pet trainer. yeah... ive seen it all goldens, labs... the usuals... and this little apbt just blows them away. ignorance kills.

I read her column and it's the same garbage you see over and over again. I didn't bother responding because that's probably what she wants. She knows that is she says things that make people's blood boil she will stay in the public eye and she will be talked about. I prefer not to have a battle of wits with someone who is obviously unarmed. I know my dog and we take him everywhere we can to show people that there is nothing to be afraid of. As a Pit mix owner and a Pit Bull lover that's about all I can do. If I have to go into it with every person who made a stupid comment and everyone who supported that, I'd go nuts. She's a twit and she knows it.

Shame on her for spreading ignorance and lies. I wonder if she uses the same methodolgy for her opinions about people and crime? That rationality would propose that certain races are born either good or bad...Has nothing to do with upbringing or circumstances....Hmmmm.
Makes me absolutely CRAZY ...(taking a big deep breath)
Thank goodness for places like Dogster where I can feel "at home"

Yes, Dad used to be the Pit Bull Club President here up until this year. We shut the club down to start a new All-Breed Club. So, now he is the treasurer of that one...BOL.. got knocked down a few ranks!

Its so sad when people are so ignorant!! It was no Pit bull or Dobe that chased me over the fence at work (vet clinic) it was a LAB!!! That is the first and only time I have EVER been afraid of a dog. He would have gotten me if I didnt climb the fence and all I wanted to do was bring him inside to eat his supper. I have met SO MANY nice Pitties and Staffies-I love the breed.
