GO!

Nearly time to say goodbye :(

This forum is for dog lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your dog.

I think right now you're still feeling numb from the heart breaking experience you went through yesterday. In time you will remember everything. My Charley is gone almost 4 yrs and I still remember everything about him. I could close my eyes and still see him, feel him and smell him. Same with my Lil Girl who's gone almost 2 yrs. I understand and feel your pain. Just know that you did the right thing and Fizz would not want to see you hurting. Don't hold back. If you need too, go have yourself a good cry. Then after you wipe your eyes, remeber all the fun times and special moments you had with Fizz and you'll find yourself smiling again.hug

I agree with Hucky & Ringo. Although you know that Fizz is gone, your mind has blocked some things out to help you have time to deal with the pain. In time you will remember some of the silliest things Fizz did. Whatever you are feeling is normal, don't be afraid, just relax and let the tears come as they will and give yourself time to take everthing in. I can promise you,I had more days than I can count after losing Mattie, that I forgot the most basic things, like eating,I'm sure I was hungry it just didn't occur to me to eat.
I also had times when I couldn't remember if I had just done something or was about to do it. I know there must have been things I did twice and others that did not get done. It will be better in time and know that there are many here to lean on.hughughug

Thank you all for your supporting words.

The past week has been a tough one for us all as you have probably experienced this yourself.
It feels like a lifetime already since i cuddled my girl crypuppy
Not a day goes by without Fizz in my thoughts and heart and i really miss her beyond describable words. Only my heart knows the true depth of her loss.
I am keeping a journal which is really helpful to express my feelings and thoughts, my only regret is i wished i had started one much sooner.

I really do appreciate having somewhere to come when i need to.

I'm so sorry for your loss hug

It's a horrible time for anyone, but something that always gets me through hard times is remembering not to mourn her death, celebrate her life hug

But remember, always allow yourself to have a good cry.

Much love and hugs xxx

Remember to laugh as well as to cry. We are blessed to share our dog's all-too-short lives. They give us so many good memories... hughughug
