Hi guys!

Nothing has come out yet! And there is a serious gap under the skin! LOL!

Tucker, he is doing great! Thanks for asking. His leg isn't swollen at all anymore, though there is still an open wound, it's obviously healing and starting to get "crusty" lol! Gunner is not acting like it hurts him unless I stick the meds in his leg...which I have to do twice a day. LOL!

Gunner, breathe! The wound sounds like it needs to heal from the inside out. Patience.. I just read this, I'm on vacation, and wifi is sketchy... The reasons for flushing it is to keep the inside clean in order to heal. One of my rescues had an absess and we had to pick the scab and squeeze the puss and clean it. It was not allowed to scab over as the scab would insulate the wound and create an oven effect for infection. Be patient. If Gunner is still off it may be the meds. Give him a few days for the meds to kick in. Baby him - he deserves to feel special - poor baby! hug

Hey Turner! Sorry, I'm just reading this (a month too late! Haha!) It's been a busy month for me, and I have done a terrible job of keeping up with posts.

Gunner is all healed up! Nothing left but a couple of little black scars, hairless marks. Even they are slowly going away. smile

Thank you everyone for the help and support! I freaked out about that particular problem. Everyone is better now (that I know of, we're on our way home from camping for a few days, Gunner and Paisley were in the care of a dog sitter, Pixie rode with us).
