Interesting about the smoke detectors. I changed out all the batteries in the smoke detectors yesterday after another attack. That was his first attack in about 6 days. I was folding laundary in a quiet house, then he went bizerk. It seems that he always gravitates towards the sink, like the sink offers some sort of comfort. Weird.

Boon saw the vet and got his blood results back. His white blood count is low, and also his thyroid count. The vet said the thyroid count may affect his behavior. He's on medications for that now too, along with the fluoxetine. They're checking his stool for parasites as well. . .

On a separate note, pet insurance can kiss my tail! Read the small print when buying pet insurance. I'm learning the hard way! Pet insurance doesn't cover the cost of the doctor visit ($50 per visit in my case). Then, there's a $500 deductible. On top of that, they only cover 80% of the visit! Do the math...most visits are under $500. And even if it's a $1000 vet visit, you're still gona have to pay $750 out of pocket. Insurance is worthless!

I'm very sorry to hear about your dog. Happy he's doing a bit better.

What insurance do you have? when i got mine i was able to pick the deductible and no insurance covers the visit and very few cover wellness.

Jake's insurance is 50 a month and deductible is 300 dollars. It worked out okay when he had an emergency vet visit and it cost me 1000 dollars not including the visit that alone was 100 bucks. But it doesn't pay when he needs shorts or something small. You might want to invest in a wellness plan for covered vet visits and such. Those are usually given out by vet offices.

On the note of electronics or "ghosts" dogs are really sensitive to electrical current you might want to make sure you don't have any high electric reading in your house. If you do it can be effecting your dog and putting him into a state of terror.

My friends pit would freak out every time it came to my aunt's house because it was old and like leaked electrical current into the air. SHe's stay glued to the wall near a sink and freak out whimper and cry like someone was threatening her. Turns out the readings in the house were high. Once my Aunt got new wiring she was fine.
