 | | | | Fi, I am so very sorry for your loss. It just tears us up when we lose our best fur-friends, they are such an enormous blessing to us, they love us regardless, they calm us when we are upset, they seem to laugh with us when we laugh, they listen to us no matter what silly thing we are talking about and they seem excited to hear it, they do not judge us on how we sing in the car, how our hair looks in the morning, they eat just about anything we will "create" and rave about how they want more. Geez, I could go on and on and never cover all the ways our dogs love and bless us but you already know.
We have a beautiful corner in our yard with special trees and peaceful windchimes where Gunner and Kayak's ashes are, they loved it out there in the summer just relaxing in the shade, it seemed only right that they would be there to rest. Now I look out there and see the trees, flowers and chimes and think of them and smile, I hear the chimes and know they have their wings.
It took forever for me to smile, I still cry, we lost Gunner 2 yrs ago tomorrow and Kayak 6 months ago. I am blessed to have wonderful friends who also adore their pups so they understand the sadness.
Let yourself feel everything, enjoy your memories, look to the stars at night and know there is a beautiful new shiny star in the sky shining for your pup, you will see it, I know.
I bet your pup has some pretty amazing wings, full of Rhodesian flair especially sporting that fabulous ridge on her back. Wings and a ridge, how beautiful.
Thank yor for loving your pup so much, it is the best thing ever.
Sorry such a long post, just very passionate about our beautiful Angels. | | | | |
