My dog's eye is dilated.

This forum is for dog lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your dog.

One of my dog's (Koby) eyes is dilated. He seems ok otherwise. What would cause that? I don't remember it being like that before.

Is it just one eye? I would consider getting your dog to their Vet to make sure nothing is going on. There are several reasons that only one pupil could be dilated, could be an ulcer on the eye, a scratch, several dieases of the eye can cause dilation of the pupils but so can light coming into the dogs eyes. But you mention that only one pupil is dilated, that is not normal.
I would have a Vet get a look as soon as you can.
Hope all is ok.

I wouldn't mess with eyes. I would call a vet right away to get their opinion. One question they'll probably ask you to make an assessment is - if you move him into brighter light, does it constrict?
