Dental chew recipe?

This forum is for dog lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your dog.

I was wondering if anyone had recipes for a homemade chew? Maybe something like the edible dental chews they sell in pet stores - safe to eat, but hard enough to last a while. I'm not sure if there are any recipes out there, but I figured this is the place to look!

Well, we make fish biscuits for the more beak mouthed fish at the aquarium, but we use plaster to make them harder to wear down, so that probably wouldn't work for dogs!

i've seen cornstarch bones in petstores...they say 100% cornstarch...that should be an easy recipe, maybe mix cornstarch with chicken soup or something? but i don't know how to make it hard.
