I'm really not laughing...laugh out loud
Very cute story though and evidently did the trick! I don't have any human children, unless you count husbands - bol, so I'm glad I don't have to have that good of an imagination!

Geesh.confused I'm beginning to wonder if one of my uncle's reasons for wanting to breed his German Shepherd was for me and my brother to see "the miracle of birth". When India was nursing her puppies last time, he told me to come over and watch because he wanted me to see it. Um, I've seen videos and pictures of animals being born, I don't need to see it in real life, thank you. Not to mention that thrice in my life the family cat has had kittens. (The first two were from our street cat that we had rescued, Ginger. The next one was a stray cat (probably abandoned) that we had found.) While I didn't get to witness the actual birth, I saw the kittens nursing plenty-a-times, and I saw how their mother cared for them. I'd say that I've seen the "miracle of birth" quite enough.

if someone ever gives you the 'miracle of birth' excuse again just tell them to foster a pregnant dog from their local shelter- that way they are helping the problem instead of adding to it and can still see the miracle of birth.
I agree. Next time you see that lady, why don't you try it?

people never cease to amaze me. I hate the miracle of birth excuse, or the "but they need to be parents just once!"

What are they smoking? seriously, those people should be forced to stay at a shelter for a while and witness the animals pts on a daily basis.

Maybe people should have to take a test and then be issued a license before they could own an
animal- your have to have a licence to drive-own a gun-be a doctor or a vet. Maybe-just maybe- then people would stop and think !!!!!!!!

My dad came up with that idea too, Daisy. He thinks that the license should include researching what breed is best for you and taking a course on training and socializing your dog THE RIGHT WAY and how to care for your dog properly.
Great idea. Now we just need to figure out how to make it happen.
