I vote for having the humans fixed. There is nothing wrong with Chows.
Are you saying they passed the 5 breed ban in California? Or are they still just trying?
Our homeowners insurance accepts all breeds. It is State Farm.

As a Chow pup, this makes me sad.
People think I'm cute, but they always ask my mommy if I'm a "mean" puppy before they get too close to me.
I love people! I just want them to rub my belly and let me kiss them with my purple tongue!

A few bad dogs can ruin it for everyone else ;[

I agree with you Sid. People NEED to get a grip! People can be sooo STUPID! Judge the deed, not the breed! You hear of the pit bulls, chows, german shephards, rotties and all those breeds doing bad and yet my mom can tell ya stories of poodles, collies, yorkies, and other so called "gentle" breeds attackin' people.

Sorry went on a little rant there but it makes me MAD! Especially when I get judged by someone who doesn't know a thing about me.

I, too, am dissappointed at the legislation. It frustrates me when I tell people I own a chow and the first thing they say to me is, "Aren't chows aggressive?" I even wanted to adopt another Siberian Husky and the shelter lady was apprehensive because I owned a Chow and ignoring the fact that my Chow grew up with a Husky all his life until the Husky passed away.

I wish there was more education out there on pet ownership and I will work hard to change people's attitudes about dogs. The dog is not the problem, it is inexperienced and/or irresponsible owners!!!

Im a chow mix, and my cousin belated was a rottweiler mix. people were scared of my belated cousin cuz she was a rott. And my grammy was a little silenced when they found out Im a chowmix.
