|Keep in mind that not everyone can just drop everything in their lives to fly out to wherever "X" breeder is to pick up a pup.
I considered flying out for Ridley... cost wasn't a huge issue, though taking into account I would have had to get a hotel room/food/fuel/etc, it WOULD have cost more to actually fly out there... but I can't just up and leave work/my life for 2-3 days to hotfoot it over to WA state. Nice thought while it lasted, but not practical, and I think that's something that needs to be taken into account when saying someone who really wants a dog should drop everything and go get the dog in person.
Finding breeders who you know and trust can be difficult, but its not impossible to build relationships without face-to-face time. IDEALLY you want to be there, see, touch, observe the dogs, but it just doesn't always pan out that way.
