This is the event that tipped me off that PETA was evil and not just a little crazy. These weren't sick dogs - theses were the highly adoptable sweet dogs that the shelter workers wanted to make sure weren't put down. PETA didn't try to distance themselves from these monsters - they paid all their legal bills.

The letter from PETA in the second made me want to throw something. She basically says the person who adopted the pit bull only did it because she was ignorant.

I'm sure most people are familiar with the story by now - but I love the pic. You can't convince a dogs that mellow while being manhandled by a stranger is too vicious to save.
