	I got a new one today- Doberman! He was soaked from playing in the creek, and he actually does look like a stocky Dobie when he's wet, so it was understandable

	Valentine gets- Collie or Miniture Collie. Nadia gets- German Shepherd puppy or Rottie until they realize she has no tail and then they start to ask how she got hurt. She's an Aussie with a naturally bobbed tail!!!!

	Kobuk is most often refered to as a siberian husky or just husky. I try not to take offense because i know he SOMEwhat resembles them but i know hes alot larger that both breeds already and hes only 8 months old !

	Because of my poor inbreeding I dont look much like a chow chow and no one guesses really they just ask then i tell them shes not vicious ( a common misconception) but she is timid and prefers her family. you may let her sniff you but dont try to pet her over the head EVER. She gets totally freaked out. No one really knows what a chessie is either unless they have one. I think its the deadgrass color and mask that throws people.

	I get malamute or husky mix. I do get people who get it right though. It use to be much worse just 5 years ago, but anymore its becoming less often that I run across someone that doesn't know what an Akita is.

	Boxer or pit. Last week at the vets a guy thought Tomba was a boxer. Then I told him she's a Bullmastiff. Then he says, "Aint she a little small"? Then I said, "It's the English that's bigger. The Bull is the smaller one". He seemed nonplussed and confused as he walked out the door. Probably thought I was wrong too. Also last weekend a drunken young man argued that Kahuna was actually an English Mastiff not a Bullmastiff. He said the Bull was the bigger one and Kahuna was way too small. Nothing I said convinced him otherwise. Ahh drunks That being said I used to have an aquantance erm friend? who owned 3 English Mastiffs. She argued insisted to me they were all Bullmastiffs. I tried to explain/enlighten, but her mind was made up. All 3 looked exactly like Bo and Bam Bam, weighing in at close to or at 200lbs. Nope she knew best, the Bullmastiff was the larger of the two mastiffs and THAT is what she owned. So odd, how do you not know your own breed of dog? Especially if you have 3 of the same breed.
