Cavaliers will NOT housetrain completely that early. Don't expect 100% reliability until 9-12 months. Crate train crate train crate train! I cannot stress enough how important the crate is to housebreaking success. Also realize that a full-grown Cavalier's bladder is about the size of a tennis ball when full. It doesn't hold much, and as a puppy, you're talking smaller than a golf ball. You have to take them out frequently early on. Be patient!!!
