Well it is not going away, not with uv lights and not with summer time and not with melatonin suplement.

It bothers him not at all and his bloodwork is normal. His breeder who is very good and who I am friends with thinks it might be in his mothers line, his sister has a milder case. She thinks Bob's being neutered might make it worse, my vet agrees, because hormones play a roll. anyway thyroid meds might help but its a purely cosmetic problem and Im hesitant to treat it as our vet bills are so high and our general dog care bills, what with 6 dogs one with cancer and one with kidney disease and all on very expensive food.

Does anyone have constant seasonal flank alomycopia

Brodie had it bad last yr. I just bought the melatonin in the pill form and i give him one on his food a day and so far it's just a little spot this yr. So, it must be helping him.
u can watch his video from his bday last yr and see how bad it used to be.
I also put a probiotic/acidipholus a day too and that helps all kinds of things.
If it's not a thyroid problem causing hair loss then thyroid meds
won't help seasonal flank alopecia.
