I'm so excited to find someone else who has blue heeler/beagle mix!! Just out of curiosity, does your pet have a tail? MiMi was born without one and it drives her nuts cause there is nothing there to chase like her best friend Purdy does, so she chases Purdy's.

Hi everyone...I am one too! I am a blue heeler/basset-beagle (bagel I think they call it) mix. My tail is a little different tho...it sort of stops 1/2 way with a round "stump" on the end of it. Anyone else have one of these?

Dora is a Beagle-Blue Heeler mix.. I was looking for a small dog 15 to 20 lbs.. I was told she was a small breed dog.. I had never seen a Heeler so i figured it was small. Dora is almost 2yrs old and around 55lbs. Her huge puppy paws should have tipped me off, but i love my big bundle of dog...

I would like to get in touch with the owner of Max. I just set up an account with this site and my Commando is a Blue heeler Basset mix and only has a stump for a tail too. It is so gosh darn cute when he wags his tail his whole bottom wiggles! Please read my story and if you can share tips that would be great!

I have a 1 1/2 year old beagle/heeler mix, she showed up on friend's porch and I followed her around until I was able to adopt her. Stoli is really sweet and is great with kids but seems to have issues with bigger dogs, unless they are her friends. She definitely has the beagle bark and can herd other dogs like a true heeler. Stoli has one of the biggest personalities I've ever seen!

We just lost our Blue Heeler/ Beagle mix, BB this week. She was hit by a car. We loved her so much!!

BB was only a year old. She was energetic, a bit quirky, smart, and loved children. She chewed alot! She ruined three pairs of eyeglasses, a couch and many stuffed animals ( raw hides helped). BB was learning but at times very stubborn. We went on walks almost daily-she needed attention almost constantly.

She had dematectic mange when she was younger and eventually with the vet's treatments her coat grew back.

Someday I would love to have this type of dog again!!

I didn't know there were so many other people out there with the same mix as Jasmine smile

I found her at the Humane Society in MN last month.

I don't know anything about her parents - or littermates - she has the beagle bark, - the tail, body shape, and head of a beagle, but has blue heeler markings.

She is one of the friendliest dogs I've ever met.

Hello all. We are in a position to get a blue heeler/beagle mix from one of my husband's co-workers. They don't want him because he nips at their heels... uh, doesn't that go with the breed? Anyway, how difficult is it going to be to train this out of him a bit? I have a number of small children here and that seems to be their concern is their kids and the nipping. Of course, he is only 2 months old and I doubt they have even tried to train him if they are giving him up so quickly.

He will be an outside dog in a kennel, but not opposed to him being in the house when we are home and can pay attention to him. We will have our yard fenced sometime in the next couple months as well.

Any thoughts or tips on if we should take him with all the little ones here?
