Our there any other Bichon's involved in dog agility?
The 2007 Canadian National Champion is a Bichon but we still get no respect. Mulligan is still training and not quite ready for competition, but he is great at it. He has no fear. I am able to use the energy of the Bichon Blitz into speed during our runs. Still nobody takes us serious, they just blow us off because he is a cute little fluff ball. It is a little frustrating that they think Mulligan is less of a dog because he is adorable. I am just interested if any one has had similar experiences.

I guess we only have one option.....kick butt and take names! snoopy

Hi, I'm Jack . I am presently in Open in AKC agility jumpers and standard. I'm very fast but sometimes don't take direction well. I also compete in Rally and Obedience. I have some bichon friends who also compete at the Alabama trials.

That's neat stuff, Bella would be great at agility yet,
I don't now where to start. Bella and I have practised
agility last summer, she does a fantastic job. Bichons are
just so darn smart!

Jay never went into competition but I did take him for agility training and he did pretty good in it also. Regretfully, he developed back issues so I did not go further with it with him and lost him this past Oct. I don't think I have ever seen a Bichon in competition but agree that as good as they like to run they should do very well. I have a Bichon puppy now but we are still just in the beginning training process. He does like to run so I may try to find someone that has the agility training as soon as he gets a little older....

I'm an agility Bichondancing and I love it!
I'm a little speed demon (33 sec.-45 sec. through whole courses)! I've only been to a fun show once and we won! We'll probably show more this summerbig grin. I've been doing agility classes for approximately 2 years.
