I brought him home from pound in January 2012. He was a stray that dog-catcher picked up. I own my own home. My dog is frightened to go into rooms he doesn't know, e.g., kitchen and bathroom. He used to be afraid to go into main bedroom, but now that I sleep there, he has gotten over his fear and will go in that room without fear. Two questions: 1) Why is he afraid to go into unknown rooms (please speculate), and 2) What can I do to help him get over his fear? Note: I have two other rescued dogs and they are not afraid to go anywhere in the house.
