Of course, if he was quiet when you met him at his breeders, that's probably his personality, so he may change only so much. And because there is another Schnauzer in the home already, he will naturally feel more drawn to her. Just continue with the food, which will add to your appeal and help develop a bond. As a Schnauzer, he's likely used to being handled a lot, due to the grooming, in more of a temporary relationship setting, so it may take him a little longer to figure this more extended bond out. As far as how receptive he is environmentally (to strangers, sounds, etc.), you can expect him to get more normalized in a couple of weeks. If he didn't shrink away from you at his breeders, it's not likely what you're seeing as regards that is a long term issue. Just a bit of culture shock. |  |  |  |  |
