Some of you make dog parks sound like the most horrible place on the plannet. Really, they're not. You just need good control over your dogs.
My first dog is either gonna be a pap or pom. By that time, I would've either just finished school or still finishing. I'm obviously not gonna be the richest girl on the block, so I'll most likely be living in an apartment or condo. I'd need a dog park for sure. But, of course I'd be very careful about it. And, of course I'd go to the little dog section.

No one said dog parks are the most awful places on earth, but they are not the ideal places many people think they are. Many dogs dont enjoy dog parks, even social dogs, some are just too overwhelmed at them and find them stressful rather then fun. Some owners dont really pay attention to this and wind up stressing out their dogs. As for needing a dog park becasue you live in an apartment, there are plenty of dogs who live in apartments and dont go to dog parks for various reasons. You can walk a dog for exercise, you can go to dog training classes or dog events for socialization, dog parks are not the only answer. They really should not be your dogs first social outlet, and trust me I learned that the hard way. Im not saying they are bad and for some people they really are th ebest and, often only, option for their dog to socialize with other dogs but you need to be careful about it.

Fantastic 5, things happen in those places too y'know. It would be like going to school where kids didn't fight at all. It's everywhere.
The biggest dog event in Ontario is woofstock which only happens once a year in June. The rest of the time, I think I'd go nuts without a dog park. I'll hang out there if my kids don't want to.

Im not talking about kids, Im talking abotu dogs not like dog parks Yes things can happen anywhere BUT plenty of dogs are not good dog park dogs. What are you going to do if your dog does not enjoy the dog park? You need to have some other ways to exercise the dogs
