My Mom thinks I look like a Bearded Collie. What do you think? I was abandoned and I have no idea what breed I am.

You could very well be a Beardie. You have all the markings in the right place and it looks like your face color is changing. You might have to wait till you grow a little more to see what takes shape. : )

You look a bit like me but I also think you seem very black in spots, but maybe you are in your changing phase. If you are not all bearded which, guessing not and will explain in a moment, I would guess your second breed to be border collie.

Here is the reason for thinking you are cross between the beardie and border collies. You have a white tip on your tail, a border collie trait, you have some very black patches and beardies fad in the first year if they are born black to be more of a blue or gray, until we get about 7 and then we change back to the color we were born.

And here is the one detail, and please take no offense, because you are a very cute pup and so deserve love. Bearded Collies are not a very common breed, more common in some areas, but still not as common as say Jack Russell Terriers or Labs. Beardies are hard to find because the breeders are pretty selective. Now, I am sure this isn't always true, if there is money to be had people sometimes do really stupid things. Because most breeders are so selective and beardies are pretty desireable, most breeders will take back or write into a sales contract that if the dog is to be surrendered it will be done so back to the breeder. Then the dog can be passed to someone on a long wait list that knows all about needs of the bearded collie and can hopefully provide a forever home.

As for the bathtub sleeping....well, I completely understand where you are coming from. The bathtub is clearly the beardies favorite sleeping location!

Hey, thanks for the response! Of course I don't think Yaz is a pure bred bearded collie. He is fading to more of a grey color now. The pictures on his page were taken last year when he was only a few months old, but according to the BCCA, there are different color standards and "stay black" is one. Concerning the white tip on the tail, this is what the BCCA says: "Where white occurs, it only appears on the foreface as a blaze, on the skull, on the tip of the tail, on the chest, legs and feet and around the neck." Of course, all of this means nothing. Because without a DNA test, I'll never really know what breed he is. All I know is he's the best dog in the world!
