	Hello, I am new to this forum. I have a 2 year old Pit mix that was rescued off the streets of Detroit. We know very little about her background other than she seems to be very dog aggresive, but just wonderful with all people. She is 51 lbs, with a large square head and thick leg. Broad chested and slightly bow-legged. She has blue Pit coloring and markings. However, she has long, thick, incredibly soft fur. Its like a Chinchila dog fur. Also she has the shortest legs... she is very very low to the ground. I know she has a lot of Pit in her, but other than that I have no idea what makes her legs so short and her coat long. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

	Probably no Pit at all. Sounds like an American Bully mix to me. Cute dogs! Seeing some more pictures would help though. ETA: http://theabkcdogs.org/ This website should help Pit Bulls are not known for blocky heads and they are not short like that-- usually mixes aren't even. Some people that have dogs like the one you have (the purebred ones though) have papers that say APBT, but they are really American Bully. Edited by author Wed Feb 8, '12 6:34pm PST
