we feed ours Canidae. It's really good stuff. No fillers. Good for pups and adults... unfortunately though, we ran out the other night and Petsmart was closed so I had to pick a small bag of something else for walmart to last a couple of days.

our jesse gets Iams. She has gastroenteritis, wich is being treated with meds. She just won't eat!Dr."nice guy"says that it will take timeto heal, and that she will get her appetite back. However,it has been two weeks since she has eaten anything substantial. He is not terribly concerned though.I am worried because she is losing weight. She won't eat anything.....not even her mommies famous scrambled eggs! She ate a little hamburger yesterday(I know,I know,no beef for dogs)but today she won't even eat that.No second opinion neccesary,as we have had this vet for over 5 years, and I trust him.I just need suggerstions on getting her to eat on her own.

With Maya's allergy problems she been on a lot of foods. We've found she's allergic to every cooked meat we've tried her on, as well as everygrain we've tried except for oatmeal. She's on raw now. She's also allergic to raw chicken, but does great on turkey, beef, pork, and lamb. She's looking better than ever, and no more diarrhea!! Though she does have problems with her back legs which I believe are due to malnutrition because of her allergies as a pup. She had diarrhea from the day we got her(at 8 weeks) till around June when I switched her to Pinnacle duck and potatoe. She did better on that(I believe because it only had oatmeal as a grain) but still had soft stool. In August her diarrhea came back so I switched to a grain free(before I found out she was allergic to cooked proteins). Still soft stool and diarrhea, plus a dried out coat which had also gotten a little bit better on pinnacle. We switched to raw the first week of September(I finally gave in). She has gained 12 lbs of lean muscle, and her coat is BEAUTIFUL. She hasn't had a runny stool in who knows how long, and she looks wonderful. She also seems much happier as well.

Were raw feeders, Ziggy has had issues with dry food since birth from refusing to eat to diarrhea, raw was the only thing that worked for him so I moved Nike to raw as well.

All of us dogs get fed rice mixed with tinned tuna, apple cider vinegar & either Royal Canin Performance or Hills Active with chicken wings or frames once a week. We thrive on this & all of us have shiney coats & good weight. We stay clear of lamb as this causes hot spots where we live in the tropics. Our human slaves eat what ever they can afford after buying our food.

We have to mix it up with our just 4 mo old or he gets bored, but I also like Halo Spot's Stew,Wellness dry and wet, and Solid Gold wolfcub kibble, mixed with roasted chicken or poached salmon. I only feed human-grade food, no meat byproducts, low or no grain, stay away from fillers, etc.
