Arrival Story:
Jessie was born in Puerto Rico and purchased there by someone working on a temporary assignment. It is our understanding that the owner did not have a yard and Jessie was left in a friend's backyard. When his owner returned home he brought Jessie with him -- but shortly after abandoned him. Jessie was about 1 year old and he became the first dog our daughter rescued. (Since,she has started the Legacy of Hope rescue - you can find it on FB.) Luckily, When she came to stay with us for a summer while studying for her medical boards she brought Jessie with her. We so fell in love with him that she finally agreed to let us keep our beloved Jessie at age 3. He has been the center of our lives ever since. He goes pretty much everywhere with us and is a true member of the family.
