Thank you so much to everyfur that has sent Cailey Mae and I a Might Paw gift! Isn't it the coolest ever when Dogster gives us something like that to send to all our pals so they know we are thinking of them!

Even though we might not be in touch with each and every pal on a daily bases, we are still so grateful for ALL of our pals furiendships and like to pass along a gift when we can.

I am 1 year old today!

Today is my birthday! I am 1 year old....how exciting is that!

We are not really sure if today is the real day of my birthday but going by what the Vet said when my Hero Pat found me, this was the day we picked to celebrate me!

I sure have come a long way since my Hero Pat found me tied to a tree and saved me. I have the best life now. My furever family and home are so much more than I ever thought it could be. LIVE IS GREAT!

I am now healthy (60 lbs) and I am loved so much. All I have to do is walk by one of my humans and I get hugs, kisses and pets. Life just couldn't be any better! (and I even get to sleep on the couch and in my humans beds!)

Dr. West said I am beautiful and that they have never seen such a beautiful coat. The girls go crazy over me when I come to visit them. I walk into the office and they are all giving me hugs and kisses and tell me what a lucky guy I am. *smiles*

I am livin' the life and loving every minute!

This is going to be the best birthday ever!

I sure am the luckiest pup in the whole wide world.
My life sure has changed. 6 month ago, I was left tied to a tree wondering where my family was and when they would come back for me, and now I not only have the best furever home but I am Dogster's DOG OF THE DAY! Life can't get any better that that!

It's a pawsome day!

We are so excited in our house today! :)

I was weighed and I am now up to 54 pounds!
That is huge thing since I was 35 pounds when Pat found me.

Dog Now I Lay Me Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!

I’ve trapped her legs, she’s tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and “I want food!”

I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my human’s chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-
I’m a puppy, don’t you see?

For the morning’s here
and it’s time to play
I always seem to get my way.

This human person that I see.

The things humans do to us!

I had to go back to the doctors today because I wasn't leaving my surgery area alone and you will never guess what they did to me!

They put this cone thing on my head to keep me from messing with area while it heals. Can you believe that! I HAVE A CONE-HEAD! Jeekers, can I look any sillier! I know, it is for my own good but my goodness...you should see me trying to navigate the house. Momma said something about a "bull in the china shop"...*put paw up*...WHAT EVER! You try walking around with this on your head! Kind of hard to get that peripheral vision going when you are looking through plastic! But I am getting better as the day goes on and I can take this off Friday morning so all will be well.

I am not having any more problems with my belly and the vet gave me a clean bill of health! YIPEE!

He even said I am healthy enough to be neutered tomorrow.
WAIT A MINUTE! Am I supposed to be happy about THAT! BOL!

Seriously though, I have gained weight and I am feeling great and loving every minute in my furever home.

LIFE IS GOOD!

Thanks again to all my pals who have sent such wonderful pmails and gifts to me. You have helped me through a pretty rough time and it is great knowing y'all are always there. BIG belly rubs to all of you!

Vet visit today...I gained 5 pounds!

We did have some good news today from the vet...I have gained a total of 5 pounds since being rescued! *does the doggy happy dance*

I went to see Dr. West today because I am still having a problem with my "business". Still runny at times when it really shouldn't be. The doctor said he has a few reason as to why this is still happening. Ready?

1. My body is still in "survivor" mode...meaning it is still a little funky inside and is having a hard time processing "normal" foods. (Guess this happens when you are living in the wild for a time!)

2. Also, my mind is still in "survivor" mode...I think I have to eat anything and everything that is around. So when I go visiting (with the furless master), I might be eating the other foods before the humans see me (I am quick!) and this would kind of goof up the diet the vet has me on.

3. The amount of food I was told to start me out with to help me gain weight could be too much. Now that I am 6 months old (I got a little older!), he cut me back to 3 cups total a day. He thought possibly again, survivor mode in belly is not processing the food as slow as it should be so things are just "running" back out!

So I have a stronger pill to stop the runs, will stay on the boiled chicken and rice diet...slowly adding kibbles for 2 weeks until we get to being on a full dog food diet! (paws crossed this works)

Not feeling well :-(

I am not feeling well. :-(

My tummy is still off. One time I will go to the bathroom ok, and the next time I will have the runs.

Momma has been making me the special diet of equal parts boiled chicken and white rice like the doctor said to do and has slowly introduced doggy food in with it after the two days as suggested but last night I started to to have a problem again and has continued today a few times.

Momma is going to call the doctor in the morning and see what they want to do. I hope there is nothing wrong with me from all the stuff I went through before being in my furever home.

I just want to feel better...
