Bio:
Betty is 34" at the shoulder and fluxuates from 105 to 115 lbs; right now she is roughly 112 lbs, but may top-out around 125 in her lifetime. Betty is incredibly intelligent which is not always the case with this breed; she is very willing to please, LOVES people, and is very sensitive to the feelings of others. Betty had a very healthy, planned litter in December of 2008, and was then spayed after that. Update on Weight gain goal: After Betty lost weight from giving birth and was spayed in February, I started mixing -in cheap dog food 50/50 with our normal Diamond Lamb and Rice formula. It has taken awhile, but I think a combination of hormonal changes and a junkier diet is FINALLY increasing her weight. I have since gone back to a 100% Lamb and Rice Diet; she has stopped gaining weight but also hasn't lost any weight. I am hoping to find a healthy way to put another 5 pounds on her, she is technically still lean for her height but some say that is good for this breed. I've tried various special diets and listened to my veterinarian but nothing has worked as good at putting on weight as the cheap dog food.
