I'm very sorry I haven't been around Dogster much the past two weeks, but my furamily has been dog showing.
I have been staying at home ofcourse, although mommy says that I am currently looking even more magnificent than I normally do and last weekend may very well have achieved great things in the show ring had I been entered.
Howard Jr and baby puppy Angie kept our kennel name flying high in the Best In Show lineups though, and the big thick sashes are now covering even more of the livingroom walls.
I seem to be having a great pregnancy with not even the slightest sign of any morning sickness (unlike my full sister Holly who suffered dreadfully from it all her pregnancy with Howard Jr).
My coat has grown even plusher/thicker, and it is as soft as silk to touch. My eyes are sparkling with life, and I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life - the earthquakes aren't even bothering me anymore! :)
The only problems I have been having are the fact that I can only eat very small amounts of food (about a cupful) at any given time, and I have to poo almost immediately after I have eaten. :(
Mommy says I am carrying my puppies extremely high, and right up under my ribs - hence my having difficulty breathing for about the past month.
I have now developed the pregnant "WADDLE" the past few days. It seems that I am carrying my puppies a lot like my grandma Jade did, and both daddy and mommy say that I am the closest they have to my incredible grandma.
Mommy says my showgirl abs are still extremely tight, and my figure should go back to what it was very quickly after I have my puppies.
I come from an enviable family of girls who retain their figures extremely well after they've had puppies, and into their old age.
Our vet even commented about my own dear mama when she was rushed to the vet clinic seriously ill just prior to her journey to The Rainbow Bridge that she certainly didn't look old enough to have had 1 litter of puppies, let alone two and 1 of them a caesarean.
An appointment has been booked for me with my vet Kirsten for this coming Tuesday night to have my pre-whelping digital x-ray to get some idea of how many puppies I am having. I hope the vet can send mommy the x-ray so that I can show all my Dogster furiends my beautiful puppies, and you can count them too.
Mommy has spoken extensively with my wonderful vet Kirsten, and because my puppies are so special and extremely precious I am going to have an elective caesarean. Both mommy and Kirsten think that this is for the best so that me and my puppies will have minimum risk to our safety, and as little stress as possible over the delivery.
My puppies are technically due on September 26th, but my family history dictates they are probably due Monday September 24th.
Mommy will be taking my temperature 4 times a day from Monday this coming week and once my temperature takes its normal pre-whelping drop I will be booked in for my caesarean section within 12hrs.
I can't wait for the moment I wake up from a very peaceful sleep to mommy, daddy and one of my favorite vet nurses holding my extremely precious puppies out to me so that I can lick them. :)

(Mum speaking) That was My Beloved Mum's birthday. She had "Cleo" the GSD I saw 3 precious photos of as a small child and that started me on the love affair road with GSD's. It was why eventually when I was able to have my GSD she was called "Cleo"

It would be nice to have my puppies on Cleo's Bday, but I think that might be a little too early, however you never know. :):):) Mum speaking.... It was my Mum's Birthday on the 22nd Sept... not Cleo's (25th July).... smiles.....
and I know.. was just wistful... I know its too soon
