There is a time..............................

Yesterday afternoon daddy climbed over the yard fence with a pump in his hand.
"You girls are off out to the back runs," he announced in a most daddy like way as he reclaimed the yard for himself for the summer.
Georgi gave me one of her "what on earth does that mean looks?"
I glanced at the swimming pool and quietly took her to one side in the corner of the yard.
It means daddy and mommy are going to be living here now. Mommy is going to put plants in the garden, pots with plants in on the deck. Daddy is going to put the table, chairs and umbrella out on the deck and shift the BBQ there too.
"Do you think daddy knows?" Georgi asked as she ran over to the pool and stared down at the murky water.
I quickly called her back.
"This is the plan," I told her. "We don't bark, chase the cat, draw attention to ourselves or anything. We just calmly walk out to the big back runs with daddy."

Daddy came and called us to go out to the big back runs, and we walked obediently after him.
"You'll be able to put the table back out on the deck now," mommy said as we passed through the house.
Daddy stopped and frowned, and then he looked out in the yard.
"I never shifted it," he told mommy. "I thought it was on the deck."
Georgi glanced at me, but I just kept on walking calmly out of the house, across the driveway, through the stableyard paddock to our big runs where I sat patiently waiting for daddy to come and let me in.
Georgi ran over and sat down beside me.
"It appears mommy and daddy don't know where the table is," she said.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how long it will be before daddy finds it at the bottom of the swimming pool.
