Dear Diary,
Today I was wondering what the name "Ginger" means. So, I go onto Google and type in "What does the name Ginger mean?" Convenient, right? This is what it came up with:
The name 'Ginger' is an English name for a female which may either be short form of the name 'Virginia', or simply after the spice or the reddish-brown colour.
Ginger is the name of a plant native to tropical and subtropical areas. It is specially grown for its knobbly and rutted root. The most quantity of Ginger is grown in Jamaica. It is also grown in large quantities in India and Africa as well. The name of this root is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning 'horn root', obviously relating to its knobbly looks. The skin of the root is of a tan colour and the colour of the flesh can range from pale green or yellow to white. It is universally appreciated for its flavour, which is on the peppery side and a bit sweet, and the aroma is heady and spicy
"Virginia, spice, reddish brown?" describes me perfectly. (Except for the Virginia part!) Just a little trivia for you, Diary...enjoy!!!

My name? Ginger Snap Giles (j-iles). How'd I get a funny name like that? Well, you see, the spelling was first Gingersnap Giles then, they brought me home and I followed all the house rules. WRONG! Actually, I did not submit to any dog, (not even the ones that could've killed me.) And, I ran away once, I made the mailman complain to the city (just kidding...we THINK him quitting after we brought Ginger home was just a coincedince.) The new mailman: actually could be called mailwomen. A teenager. Blond hair. DOG HATER. I went crazy. That's when we had the mailbox inside the gate. (my lair) I bit her hand. I know, i know...i could've been put down. But---i had to do it. :(. That's how i got the "snap" part of my name.
Thats my diary entry for today...hope you liked it!
