Arrival Story:
We adopted Stumpy from the Ohio Basset Rescue. We'd been wanting a second dog for a while and both love bassets. I had spent many hours on the OBR website looking at all the doggies and when I read about Stumpy I had to apply to adopt. Stumpy's foster mom brought him to our house and he stayed! We adopted him May 3rd, 2009 :)
Bio:
Stumpy's first owners were not very nice... they would tie him and his brother out all day on a chain, and they used to escape and go to the dog warden's house down the street where they would get fed. One day he had enough and took them to the pound in the hopes they would find a better owner. The pound was closing for 5 days, however, and they were going to euthanize all the dogs. The pound called OBR and the doggies were rescued. Stumpy's brother found a new home and now so did Stumpy :)
