GGGRRrrrrrr! My toe nail tic'ed that thing again and I lost my letter, again.
Anyhow, one day I met a sheep herding dog who took me home for a good meal and let me sleep in his dog house. The food was really yummy and his bed was warm and dry. I could finally curl into a good ball and tuck myself in to sleep. These were sad and fearful days to be sure. I experienced my very first thunder boomer - while I was outside, not in my home. I saw one of those evil twisters, almost got dognapped by a 'dog catcher' who ever he was and got in several fights with raccoons and wolfs that tried to scare me out of eating my food. That was a terrible and frightening thing to have happen to a dog like me. I've never even had to ask to have a can of food opened for me. My people just watched and knew when I was getting hungry. Sorry.. I digress.
I was tucked in the dog house while the sheep herding dog worked. I slept well but my tummy hurt from the big plate of food I ate. The sheep dog wouldn't eat till I had my fill. I finally got sick from eating too much, but OH!!! it tasted so good!. Sleep was a good thing for me, it was safe and secure where I was so I slept hard.
Then all of a sudden!! A big gnarley hand caught me by my neck and held me down so I couldn't run. This hand realy hurt me too! I looked up at what I thought was a monster but when my eyes cleared of all the dust I pushed up, I saw kindly eyes and a low but soft voice. "SO that's why Frankie slept outside last night, he's got a friend, a very dirty one at that!. I was so embarrased that tears came to my eyes. This big man pulled me out of the house, grabbed my two fraont legs so I couldn't run and carried me to the big people house. He called out loudly and a lady people came to see me. "Oh! My Goodness! So whereyou been that you are so covered with dirt and brambles? Her voice was soft and like a song to me too. "Never Mind, you need a bath and a good meal. She didn't know I lost my dinner in the dog house last night.
The bubble bath was delightful and she held my paws so gently while she cleaned them and she dried me with a towel that smelled like roses in my people's gardens. I so wanted to go home and be an ordinary dog again. Maybe she'd help me!?
After I ate a big stew (and lost my meal again) two girl peoples came and looked at me and then put a collar on me and dragged me away to their moving crate. The girl people who gave me a bath, kissed my head and prayed "God speed" to me. I knew I'd never see her again, and I liked her so....Maybe these girl peoples were going to take me home again!
I've got so much water coming from my eyes, that I can't tic tic any more to you just now, I'll tic more later. Loves and licks for asking me to join you, Zoey, the lonely Borzoi.
