Dogster must think I have a lot to bark about :)
I was chosen as diary of the day AND a daily diary pick this week.
We actually do have some exciting news- we are going to be adopting a new little dog into our family next week. Her name is Juna and she is currently at a shelter in eastern WA. Some nice people from a rescue group are going to bring her over the mountains to Seattle! Now we are waiting on the official adoption and see if she can stay at the shelter until the rescue group can get her. Little Juna looks like a baby cattle dog- she has that speckly gray fur and even a black patch! But she is a 12 pound grown up dog- we can't wait to meet her.
Maybe she can get trained to go on therapy dog visits with me and Tonka. I know the kids will take her to training, too. Maybe this will start to heal our boy's heart over the loss of Cocobear.
We will keep you posted, but keep Juna in your thoughts and prayers that she has a safe trip and is a good match for our Posse!

Mama has sure been a slacker on my diary!
I have turned into the sweetest little girl in the year and a half I've been here. Sadly, I do still get carsick or I'd love to go everywhere. Cerenia helps me feel better, but I don't take it too often. I passed my CGC test and TDI test so that I can be a therapy dog with a local rescue group. I'll do great with people young and old, I hope! My oldest boy has been taking me to a trick/pre-agility class and we both love it. I'm good at the agility equipment-maybe some day I'll be ready to compete...
For now, I am loving my family and enjoying our cool summer.
Hope you all are doing the same :)

The kids took me and Cocobear to the Petswalk yesterday, and it was a fun day with gorgeous weather! Coco and I tried some agility- I'm a little more confident than him. We also met lots of nice dogs and people and got some yummy treats. And the money from the walk helped out some shelter dogs. Our pals Chase and Byngham both took the CGC test and did GREAT- they both passed! I think mama needs to do that stuff with me- I'm a smart lil cookie and now that I found out that the Cerenia keeps me from puking all over the car, I need to go LOTS more places with her...
There are more pics from Petswalk at the end of my photobook.

I got to celebrate my first birthday and today I'm off to the vet. Mama says something about not wanting the mess or any puppies. I did have 1 puppy in December- not sure if it was an oops or not...but no more for me.
I'll stay at the vet until after dinner time, then I'll come home and probably stay in my crate to rest some more.
My vet does lots of spays on dogs and cats of all sizes every day, but if you could keep me in your thoughts that everything goes perfectly, I'd really appreciate it.
And if you've got a gal who isn't spayed yet, why don't you call YOUR vet to schedule the surgery. You will end up with a way healthier happier pet in the long run ;)

Today is my very first woofday, and I am a happy little girl in my new home. Since I came here, I have done a good job of learning the house rules and making some of my own- like jumping straight up for treats and always making everyone pet me!
All the dogs like me, but I think Coco is still a bit jealous...he's not the little dog any more.... Fling and Roper think I'm just super and Levi even seems to be my pal. I was a little worried about that at first, but we are one big happy pack now.
I LOVE to go for walks, but I get carsick on car trips. Dramamine does the trick, but I don't get to go as much as I want. Today, my humans are going to a pet store to pick out my woofday treats and FINALLY a collar befitting a Princess.
Yes, life is good, and I know I'll enjoy many happy and fun years with my human, canine and even feline pack!
