I luv Treats!!I love walks with Mom, rolling in the snow, being co-pilot in the car.

sweaters, rabbits, big male dogs, kisses I only give tongue licks!!! I'm a Cairn, what do you expect! My Harness, I hate it but Mom says I have to wear it, so I do.

Favorite Toy:
Mom's slippers and burying my bones in mom's shoes and slippers, sneeking in Mom's bathroom to hide bones under the rug.

Favorite Food:
Anything human and carrots and Milk bones, but Mom limits me, I have a weight issue to keep my weight down!!

Favorite Walk:
Walks every morning and afternoon and evening with mom, all around our big subdivision, as far as I can get her to go!!!!

Best Tricks:
carrying Mom's slipper all over!!! washing my face in the snow, shaking paws, and just my funny, loving attention to my great parents, and all in the kingdom of Lone Oak!

Arrival Story:
Daddy and Mommy had lost their previous doggie and they wanted to adopt a cairn terrier and so they came to the rescue group who had me!! The Colonel Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue. I had lost my owner and I came to a foster home in Michigan. Mommy was looking hard for the right Cairn and they looked high and low and they saw me on the computer and they said they 'fell in love with me." I came to visit and I really wanted to live with them, but they had to pass all the adoption rules, I don't like human rules!!!!! They finally said I could come live with them. I was sooooooo excited I was going to be the top dog in the house, it is great!!!! Please say hi to "Daddy" he is my HERO!! I love to watch Dog Whisperer with mom, she loves it, she learns alot and then tries it out on me, boohoo, I don't like rules, but mommy makes a good pack leader!!!!

I live in MI and I root for the MSU Spartans, Daddy said I must because he graduated from there. I don't really care, but I see a lot of friends wearing sweaters for the U.of M. Wolverines, so I don't really care, I told mom I don't want to wear sweaters!!! I would like to know how many COLONEL POTTER PUPS are out there, PLEASE WRITE ME< IF YOU ARE A COLONEL POTTER< CAIRN TERRIER!!!!!

Mrs. N.:
We enjoy our Spencer so much. Cairn sure can be stubborn, but with love and healing these rescue dogs can be some of the most loving pups in the world. We so appreciate everything the Colonel Potter Rescue did and keeps doing. If you are looking for a Cairn Terrier to adopt, please look on their site. DO NOT BUY OVER THE INTERNET or PET STORE, you could please help us to stop puppy mills and show the world to respect our wonderful gifts, the canines of the world of any shape, breed or issue. Please support a rescue of your choice, please help us!! Spencer had to overcome fear and anxiety but when we got through the adjustment, he is our love, and he is so cute and he loves to chase bunnies and rolling in the snow and especially to be Mom and Dad's buddy!!!!

It has been a long time since I have written you. I am doing well, the Queen has me on a special diet, she says I have to get rid of my pancreatitis (whatever that is!!!) and lose weight(yucko!) she has limited my treats and this has been very hard for me. Well to get back to what has transpired since last I wrote you. We had some visitors from the North, Ms Olivia the Great Horned Owl and her two little babies. They had been a great diversion to me and they have since let the Great, Mr. Oak Tree. They however, did leave a mess behind. They hunted and I saw them in my rounds around the Kingdom with the Queen, when I felt like it!!! The King and Queen have been really worried about me and I got sooooooo much attention, I just loved it but I felt like HEdouble toothpicks like the Queen says. The King has much more he man language and I kibittz with him daily. He is so regal and the Queen, well she is the best!!! Well I want to thanks you all for the many gifts you have sent and the prayers you sent. After my hospital stay, I never want to go there again, they were nice but THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!!!! Well since my recovery, I know I had the Queen so worried, I have had the chance to sniff and secure the Mystic Forest and the Magic Pond and I found Mr. & Mrs. Mallard, the ducks had been waddling in the yards for seed and things. I had to stop and chat awhile and they brought me up to snuff, about what went on while I was recuperating. There had been so scuffles and some intruders but Miss Spice and Mr. Mallard had been making my rounds for me. Everything looked intact and the place was kept up so nice for you courtiers.
I have missed seeing Sir Fitzcairn and Sir Chriscairn and Lady Dumpling and Dame Zoe and Sir Entwhistle and all the others who gave me so many get well rewards, I will be sending some gifts from the Queen and me soon. Well from all in the Kingdom, keep reading the Queen's correspondence and of coarse my cheeky quips from the Kingdom. HiHo,HiHo it's off to keep watch over the palace. Love Sir Spencer

Know that Sir Spencer has not disappeared but he went through another bout of pancreatitis and spent three days in the doggie ICU. He is on a special diet and is finally sowing his oats more. He has had a very hard 6 weeks. Thanks for the prayer and thoughts we love all of you. The Queen, Tammy

Dearest Friends,
Spencer is slowly improving but very slowly. Our main issue is to get him to eat the special prescribed food and to drink enough water. We can incredibly concerned and still need your prayers. We love you all. T
