Goodbye My Sweet Boy

May 24th, 2005 Bouncer went to the Rainbow Bridge. He was just shy of six years old. Bouncer had a genetic heart condition called SAS (Sub Aortic Stenosis). We knew his life would be shortenened by it but had no idea he would go so soon. He had a very happy last day and I had no incling that it would be his last. He simply fell over, had a seizure and was gone within a matter of seconds. It was devastating to see but for him his death was quick and painless and for that I am grateful. The hole left in our lives by his death is huge and you wouldn't think a house with 8 dogs still running around in it could feel completely empty but it does. Bouncer was the sweetest dog I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He truly loved everyone - people, cats, dogs - even other intact males. He was so sweet and changed many people's opinions of what a "pit bull" was or should be. He made his mark in the show ring and I will forever fondly remember the travels he and I took on the show circuit and his antics that made everyone just laugh and smile. I will most fondly remember him not as a champion show dog but as my friend and little baby pooch. I hope it is true that we will one day meet again because heaven wouldn't be heaven without him there with me. Rest in Peace my sweet, sweet boy, you were and always will be loved more than words could ever say...
